Alliance of Responsible Collectors
Since 2020, the international standard for responsible art collecting.
The Alliance of Responsible Collectors was born from a simple observation: in a globalised art market where ethical questions are multiplying, collectors lacked a common, rigorous, and international framework.
The ACR proposes a structured approach, grounded in its Code of Conduct, which guides every stage of collecting — from acquisition to transmission — with verifiable ethical requirements.
"Collecting is not merely possessing. It is a responsibility towards art, towards history, and towards future generations."
The Code of Conduct is structured around four inseparable pillars, forming a coherent framework for responsible collecting practice.
Ensuring the legal provenance and ethical origin of every acquired work. Traceability, transparency, and compliance guide every transaction.
